A teen who challenged Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) to a US Constitution debate is now herself running for class president. And so now she’s getting national headlines to give her candidacy for class president a huge nationwide buzz. When was the last time you heard about some girl running for 10th grade class president in the national news? This is a great way for kids to get free advertising and media endorsements for their candidacies! Simply challenge a political candidate you notice the media doesn’t like to some sort of embarrassing debate, and you’ll get all the free fawning news coverage you can handle! And if kids are paying attention, soon some first-grader will challenge this teen to a debate on the Constitution. But will this younger kid get the same treatment as the girl who challenged Bachmann did, or will the media smear the little kid with hatchet-jobs for having the gumption to challenge a media darling? I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
