Preakness Profile: Concealed Identity

The Preakness was run today, and there was a horse named “Concealed Identity” in the race. It made me think the horse must be in the witness protection program or something. Perhaps he used to live on a ranch used by mobsters as a hideout and meeting place, and they didn’t know that this horse could speak and understand English like Mister Ed (!). He listened in on all their plans about race fixing, horse doping, etc., and planned on turning them all in to clean up racing for good! So once he knew enough about their criminal organization, the horse agreed to become an informant for the FBI, but when the mob found out about it, he had to make a break for it and join the witness protection program. But he still wanted to race anyway, so the FBI, so nobody would know it was the same horse, decided to use the name “Concealed Identity” for him to race under. It’s brilliant, right? Who could possibly figure out who he is with that kind of alias? The only problem is that somehow the mob has found out who he is, and now they’re going to try to whack him! That’s why he didn’t really make a move to win the race: then the mafia hit-men would have had a clear shot at him! But they know who he is, and that’s why he was given #13 to wear for the race: so the mob could send him the message that his luck is about to run out!
